#3 It reads and is illustrated towards CHILDREN so most importantly *they* love it and it speaks to them.
#2 The book, An Awesome Book of Thanks, by Dallas Clayton shows children they can be thankful for normal day to day things, imaginative things, things that are only personal to them, silly things, nature, kites, family and everything under the sun. I like this book because it is universal and would appeal to all religions or even no religion at all. But m y husband and I DO bring religion to the subject of gratitude on other occasions…most other occasions. Hear me out! I just think you can teach children to be thankful without bringing religion into it. There are many reasons the girls and I loved this book:
An Awesome Book of Thanks, by Dallas Clayton is perfect all year round. Obviously this book would be perfect for Thanksgiving, but it is not centered around that holiday at all.
